In Mrs. Johnson’s room, the grades 1 and 2 students have already made three different types of charts at CREATE A GRAPH
Now they will extend their knowledge to entering data in EXCEL and making a graph to represent their recent survey about what are the most popular Dr. Seuss books at ISR!

In Mr. Anderson’s science class, students have been experimenting with seeds from the “Teach Peace” organization to see which ones were successful and might be useful in this area of the world. They were donated by seed companies in the United States for distribution world wide. We wanted to see if they would germinate and produce a crop in a tropical climate.
Students have been collecting data since November and will now analyze their data by producing a spreadsheet. We will then write a summary report and send it to the “Teach Peace” organization with our findings.

In science the grades 5/6 students did a lab to time the growth of three different “sponge animals.” They recorded the data and put it into an Excel spreadsheet.
